A chicken system and its variables (2017)

“A chicken system” is a continuation of the “Circus” (2013) series, in which Bayraktar uses animal figures instead of humans; abstracts human activities and renders figurative images into a formalist, absurd direction.

The work consists of computer-generated images showing different species of animals within a gymnasium from different camera angles. This work aims to analyze the boundaries of the photo frame and the boundaries of the marked area within the photograph. When the camera approaches a marked field, the power to describe the boundaries of that system also decreases.
